I will buy you a beer, if . . .
This interactive performance was so much fun! I spent three hours at a local beer joint, sitting at a table with a hat containing 100 slips of paper. Each slip included a question of some sort. Topics included the history of art (of course!), politics, the environment, geography, medicine, etc. Each participant was invited to pick three slips of paper from the hat. If he or she could answer two out of three questions correctly, I paid for his or her glass of beer. Surprisingly, each and every encounter was upbeat! Even those people who did not win a free beer were in a good mood and happy to chat with me. In some cases, our conversation grew out of one of the questions from the hat. In other cases, we talked about performance art, in general and/or my own particular form of performance art. It was wonderful for me, and hopefully, for others.
